Recognize You Are Worthy
Hello! My name is Alli Roy and I have been practicing in Wilmington, NC for almost 8 years. I hope I can be someone to help guide you on that journey and support you in recognizing and accepting your worthiness and humanity.
In therapy sessions, you can expect a laid back, conversational and comfortable environment where there is space for both vulnerability and laughter. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can show up as your most genuine self and simply be. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process, so I strive to show up to sessions with as much humanity and openness as you do. I like to say that I have an “empathetically direct” approach- I provide plenty of empathy and understanding, but also want you to build the life you want and will gently provide that accountability.
We may a good fit if:
-You feel stuck or lost in life and don’t know where to start.
-You struggle with setting boundaries, people pleasing, and prioritizing yourself.
-You can’t say “no.”
-You may describe yourself as anxious, constantly stressed, or overwhelmed.
-You have a history of trauma and maybe haven’t “dealt with it” or the opposite, you have done the work and don’t know what’s next.
-Your relationship with your family is “complicated.”
-You are in a helping profession and may be feeling “burnt out.”
-You want to have a better understanding of your mental health.
-You want a therapist who will show up with humanity and humility, holds space, gently challenges you, and creates opportunities for joy and laughter in session.
